PTFE Tape Rolls, also known as thread seal tape or plumber’s tape, are used to help seal threaded pipe connections and reduce the risk of leakage. Made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), the tape wraps around compatible male pipe threads to help create a seal when the connection is assembled correctly.
PTFE tape is commonly used in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration support systems, and industrial piping applications. Different grades and formulations are available for specific fluids, gases, temperatures, and pressure conditions.

Product Selection and Use
Choose PTFE tape based on the thread type, pipe material, fluid or gas being conveyed, operating pressure, and temperature requirements. Not all PTFE tapes are suitable for every gas, refrigerant, chemical, or high-pressure application.
Wrap the tape in the direction of thread engagement and follow the fitting or tape manufacturer’s instructions. Avoid allowing loose tape to enter the piping system. PTFE tape is generally intended for compatible threaded connections and should not be used as a substitute for the specified sealing method on flare fittings, compression fittings, or other connections that seal differently.
